As you might already know, there are RSS feeds available for every team on FootyTweets, CricketTweets and RugbyTweets. This means you can get all the news and goals/wickets/scores related to your team in one nice big feed. But what about if you want to split the feed out into a separate news feed and a goals feed?

Well now you can. Below each section in the teams area there are 2 new links to the RSS feed and to the Atom feed for that subsection. Alternatively you can go to the subsection and click the RSS icon in or near the address bar of your browser.
On top of that there are RSS and Atom feeds for each league. Not only that but there is also an RSS feed for each of the 3 sites so you can get every piece of news that passes through each site. Beware that there is alot of news and other updates! To get to the feed go to the specific page (the leagues page or the sites homepage) and click the RSS icon in or near the address bar of your browser.
Please keep the feedback coming and post in the Feedback Forum.
Thanks
Ollie

After a successful first live feedback session at Ustream.tv I am happy to announce the second session! On Tuesday 24th February, in the evening, about 5:30pm GMT, 12:30PM EST and 9:30AM PST, mark it in your calendar. It will be on the folliwng UStream.tv channel. As with last time I will not have a plan at all, I’ll simply talk about developments and answer your questions and ideas.
This will all focus around FootyTweets, CricketTweets and RugbyTweets.
Please add your comments below and let me know if you will be watching.
Update: Well it didn’t go to plan! I connected to UStream and then got a blue screen of death. 2 minutes later I was back and sent out a mass tweet to let everyone know i was there. Barely 10minutes later I got another blue screen of death. After this restart I changed the web cam, by this time 99% of the chatroom visitors had gone. Rendering the feedback session pointless! I will try again soon!

I have a full time job, so I can’t change things immediately. I was actually following everyones suggestion of getting more news. But looks like I will have to go back and replace the 100 so called “upgraded” news feeds.
I am still not sure why people can’t see that if I add more news sources for each team that you are bound to have different sites writing about the same topic. Can’t please everyone.
I do know that some of them are stories about other teams. Blame Newsnow.com for having an immature algorythym for getting the correct new.
Apologies for the duplicate news entries.
Update: I am home now and have decided to move the database around to allow me to use hand picked new sources for each team. Initially this will be: BBC, Sky Sports and if the teams official site has an RSS feed.
Update 2: I have completed this for the Premier League, Championship and League One. It took 5 hours to do those 3 leagues so League Two and international footy teams will be done in due course. Bare in mind it is valentines weekend so I will be busy untill Sunday evening
Update 3: In addition I have now re engineered the League Two teams. Only International teams left.
Update 4: The international football teams and rugby teams have been updated too. I will add additional international football teams soon.

You can now add your teams to your iPhone or iPod touch home screen. Just go to a teams page on FootyTweets, CricketTweets or RugbyTweets on Safari, then click the “+” bookmark icon and choose “add to home screen” then you can get a screen like the image above.
Let me know if you are interested in a full iPhone interface to the website. Add your comments to the feedback forum.

Live match updates have been added to teams on RugbyTweets in the Guinness Pemiership, Magners League, Six Nations and Tri Nations. This means that all teams in those leagues will get tweets sent to them when there is a try, conversion, penalty, yellow card or red card.
I started the system with the England v Italy Six Nations match and tweaked it during the match. Let me know in the feedback forum or reply to @ollieparsley on Twitter if you see any issues.

Today I have added 21 international football teams. There could well be more to come if there is demand for it. Don’t forget any feedback or suggestions should go into the Feedback Forum.
The news feeds for the teams will be updated when I add the ability to add more than one news source to each team.
International rugby teams will be added over the next few days.

Each team on the 3 sites now has their own RSS feed. The feed contains their latest news updates and goal updates (if available). I haven’t forgotten about you ATOM feed lovers, they are available too. The data in the feed is as up-to-date as the Twitter feed for each team.
Just go to a teams page and click on the RSS icon at the top of your browser.
